READ THE FOLLOWING:

This Ford roadster is one of the most visually striking and appealing hot rods that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Finished in a very dark green with rich, dark red interior.

The car was exactingly built by Larry Gheno in California who enjoyed years of use with the car.

Consider the following:

1.) All steel, modified Brookville Ford A body on a 1932 frame. The cockpit has been expanded, offering more than ample accommodation.

2.) Early Bell dropped ’37 tube front axle.

3.) Vega cross steering. Tube shocks at all four corners.

4.) ’40 Lincoln brakes. Firestones: 7:00 x 16 rear. 4.50 x 16 front.

5.) 3:50 Nine inch Ford rear end.

6.) 283 C.I. Chevrolet engine with:

a.) Completely balanced components
b.) Main bearing straps
c.) Heavy duty connecting rods
d.) Keith Black 10:1 Pistons
e.) Iskenderian 270 Hydraulic Cam
f.) 327 Fuel Injection cylinder heads
g.) Holley four barrel carburetor

7.) 1948 Chevrolet truck transmission converted to an open driveline and fitted with 1962 Chevrolet gear cluster. (And, let me tell you it is about the sweetest transmission I’ve ever driven in a roadster. The ratios are stacked superbly. Absolutely great!)

8.) 1934 Lincoln dash with early, curved glass instruments, and an extremely rare POLICE SPEEDOMETER. Twin functional glove compartments.

9.) 1939 Ford banjo steering wheel.

10.) Very slick 3 piece aluminum hood.

11.) Bronze Hallock deep vee windshield with twin mirrors.

12.) Custom hand hammered, rolled rear pan.

13.) That perfect rear bumper is from a 1921 Falcon Knight (!?)

14.) ‘39 Ford Tail lamps.

Finally, in reviewing the images, take the time to go over the details and the exceptional workmanship such as the fit of the three piece hood, and the engine compartment’s neatness.

Note the effort in the trunk area with the 15 gallon aluminum fuel tank at the leading edge, the well built isolated battery box, the boxed tools, carpeting, etc.

Finally, review the work and the engineering under the car. Particularly, the very well laid out rear suspension, transmission mounting, etc.

Over the road, the car is wickedly quick, steers beautifully, and the brakes are extremely effective.

This Hot Rod is not only a terrific value, it has been masterfully engineered!
