The car that you see before you is a 1956 Mercury that was customized by Bo Huff several years ago and kept in his personal museum. This car has only been in local shows but has been featured in such magazines as Car Kulture Deluxe and other serious custom car magazines. The winner of this 1956 Merc will have the opportunity to not only own this great piece of art work but also will have the opportunity to have Bo Huff attend any national custom & rod show that the buyer wishes to enter this car.
Most customizers know that there are certain years that Ford Motor Car Company got the design of the Mercury’s just right. The years that come to most people’s minds when they think about the great Mercs are 1940, 1949-51 and of course the 1956. To improve on great designs it takes a great artisian like Bo Huff. Bo Huff decided that this particular design execution was perfect for the 1956 and has created a truly great work of art and probably the finest 1956 Merc custom in existence.
Just check this mild custom out from its real Appleton spotlights to its correctly sized Lakers. The car has been nosed and decked with a roll and tuck interior with pin striping throughout on the outside & inside by JR. The car has been lowered and is running a Ford 351 Cleveland motor with a C-4 automatic transmission. Check out the cob webbing under the window door trim. Seller estimates there are about 2,500 miles on the car since restoration.
This car is a great driver and again, it is ready to be shown at any national show with the presence of Bo Huff, if you should so request.
