Seller states:

Up for auction is my Model A Roadster. It is a real Roadster and currently licensed and titled.

Body is all steel, Floors and quarter wheel wells are new. Doors are uncut originals. Real 32 Truck Grille. Winshield shortened 5 inches. Paint is a nice Acrylic Urethane single stage. Body fit is nice, extra bracing was added in the trunk section for strength. Louvered decklid is really nice. Also comes with a half hood that matches and is louvered.

Frame is a stock Model A Boxed from the center crossmember forward, and lengthened 5″ in the rear to accommodate the 34 Ford rearend. It was blasted clean and has stock crossmembers front and rear. There is some pitting, but it is a solid frame. It was painted black with all suspension parts.

The front end is a super clean 32 heavy axle that was dropped years ago. 34 wishbones split with 32 B tierod ends. 40 Ford spindles, and 46 Ford front brakes. The rearend is a nice 34 Ford rear with a Model A spring. 4.11 gears, and 46 Ford brakes. Front shocks held up by some F-1 mounts. The torque tube and 34 driveshaft are cut down to fit. It is stock wheelbase. All brake parts and lines are new. It has 35 Ford 16″ wire wheels and new firestone bias-ply big and littles with tubes.

The steering is a 1938 Ford column. It connects to a rebuilt 38 Ford cross- steer box via u-joint. Steers very nice and is safe. The steering shaft was custom machined to use a very rare 37 Nash Lafayatte banjo steering wheel and center cap. There is a panhard bar. New superglide front spring and shackels.

1950 Mercury flathead V-8 with a 39 Ford 3 spd trans. This is a good running original engine that was out of an unrestored Merc. I cleaned it and added Heads. It has a 48 Truck bellhousing, flywheel and new clutch and pressure plate. The tranny was not rebuilt, but was in good useable shape. The pedal assembly is from a 34 Ford heavy truck. They fit great and look the part. The engine has new truck waterpumps, old Edlebrock 2×2 intake, some rebuilt Stromberg 97′s and some Vintage Shilling Air Cleaners. It has an electric fuel pump and Holley low pressure regulator. The radiator is a new 2-core aluminium, with an electric fan on the front. A truck generator and fan was used. The generator was rebuilt and converted to 12 volts with a new voltage regulator. All the wiring is covered in old asphlat loom. Some cloth wire was used where visible. Could use an upgraded distributor, it has an original points type now.

The interior is pretty nice. It is a very comfortable bench seat that flips forward. The panel behind the seat unsnaps for removal. There is a 11 gallon gas tank and battery box behind the seat. Lots of room in the trunk to store your stuff. The carpet is removable indoor outdoor. There is a black floor pan beneath that can be removed to access the trans and such. New Stewart Warner guages in dash and wired. Temp guage is switched and monitors both head temps. Speedo cable snapped and I haven’t replaced it.

Last picture shows the car with half hood on. Picture is before I added all the goodies to the topend of the motor last winter. Also did front steering and suspension last winter. Still need cloth welting for the grille shell or hood will wear the paint. Pretty easy to install.

Overall a pretty nice car, recently built and very clean. Has won a trophy at every show I’ve taken it to and was invited to the “Duh Event 2011″. It turns heads and starts conversations.

Starts easily and runs well, has some clutch chatter and rides like a buggy spring car. It is quick. Not a rat rod.
